I’m really missing Colorado and my family that lives there. Here’s some pictures from our trip last summer so you can see why I miss it so much.
The first picture is the view from the parking lot of the school my dad went to. Can you imagine looking out your classroom window every day to see that?!
The next picture is when we were descending from the peak of a mountain. I couldn’t tell you the name of the mountain, but the peak is just to left of the picture.
The next three are from Grand Junction, where my family lives. Two are of the Grand Mesa, which takes up something like 500 square miles and is the largest flat-top mountain in the world. The other is our raft trip down the Colorado River.
The last is from Winter Park. There’s a ski lift that takes you up to the top of this mountain and you can slide down to the bottom again on these sled things with wheels.
Colorado is why I want to visit more of the western US. The people are friendlier and more laid back, the scenery is just breathtaking, and there’s the plus of my family living there. It’s a beautiful place with so much to discover, and I want to see it all.
